EVERY GOOD THING to RUST
After a year of production, my first feature film is officially complete. Filmming commenced in May, followed by a summer of audio work and original music recording with friends and musicians Pete Klinkon and Rob Drury. By late August, we began marketing and development of an online distribution plan.

After a successful private premiere on September 29th at Trampoline Design in Glens Falls, and after the launch of the EVERY GOOD THING to RUST movie Web site, I am happy to announce that the entire film is now available for download online. Sign up for the mailing list to download the movie, then feel free to share, link to, or blog about it. I've made the film for people to see, and encourage everyone to pass it along.

Check the News blog for updates on upcoming screenings, press, and other events.

Zine
This capitol district arts and cultural show is in it's early stages of development and two episodes have been shot. With director Brandon Bethmann at the helm, we hope to do a longer episode very shortly. We are always looking for subject matter and collaborators. Please contact me at nameinuse@hotmail.com with interest.

Recently Completed Projects

House Series - Photography
John recently completed another series exploring the eeriness of indoor spaces. Branching off from the Fog and Crooked Lake House series', these new images are less "postcard" beautiful and much more sinister.

Motion Portrait Film
John recently finished the his year-long project "Motion Portrait Film"--a project inspired by both his interest in high-speed photography and the portraiture of Richard Avedon. John has carried a 16mm bolex camera on his back for the past year, using it to capture high-speed portraits of friends and family members from New York to Maine. John hopes to submit the final project for grant consideration, in hopes of expanding upon his idea and making it a cross-country study of Americans today, similar to Avedon's work in the seventies.
